- 1968The plant officially opens in September 1968.
- 1969Melchers assumes ownership in January 1969.
- 1971Management places the plant on a voluntary temporary shutdown, citing oversupply.
- 1973Melchers accepts that Minnedosa is unviable and closes the distillery after sporadic production.
- 1980After passing through Corby, the idle plant is sold to Mohawk Petroleum for fuel-alcohol production.
