  1. 1970Otto Rieder secures a distilling licence for his Niagara operation after years of lobbying to produce fruit spirits.
  2. 1972Rieder's fruit spirits are in market by November, establishing the plant that later becomes Forty Creek.
  3. 1987Bill Ashburn joins the distillery and becomes the long-running production and blending constant of the site.
  4. 1992John K. Hall enters the business to wind it up, then buys it instead and becomes the visionary behind Forty Creek.
  5. 1993Hall converts the business into Kittling Ridge, adds a column still, and begins laying the groundwork for the modern whisky program.
  6. 2000Just before the turn of the century, Hall launches the Forty Creek whisky brand from the Grimsby distillery.
  7. 2014Campari acquires the distillery and brand, then invests in modernization and a visitor-focused Brand House.
