- 1934Larry McGuinness buys a Riverside plant and begins making fruit liqueurs from purchased spirit, laying the groundwork for later whisky production.
- 1939McGuinness buys Mimico land, acquires Dunrobin stock and equipment, and creates the LJ McGuinness Distillery Company.
- 1942Headquarters move to Mimico and the Riverside plant is put up for sale.
- 1966McGuinness opens a heavily automated new distillery at Mimico and continues large-scale site expansion.
- 1970Standard Brands buys the McGuinness company on June 13, 1970.
- 1987Corby purchases McGuinness Distilleries in December 1987.
- 1989Most of the Mimico distillery is demolished after operations have been transferred away.
