  1. 1934Larry McGuinness buys a Riverside plant and begins making fruit liqueurs from purchased spirit, laying the groundwork for later whisky production.
  2. 1939McGuinness buys Mimico land, acquires Dunrobin stock and equipment, and creates the LJ McGuinness Distillery Company.
  3. 1942Headquarters move to Mimico and the Riverside plant is put up for sale.
  4. 1966McGuinness opens a heavily automated new distillery at Mimico and continues large-scale site expansion.
  5. 1970Standard Brands buys the McGuinness company on June 13, 1970.
  6. 1987Corby purchases McGuinness Distilleries in December 1987.
  7. 1989Most of the Mimico distillery is demolished after operations have been transferred away.
