  1. 1958Ernest Potter and Karl Wimmer establish Potter Distillery in Vancouver.
  2. 1967Potter opens its fully automated Langley distillery after several years of expansion planning.
  3. 1975The company opens a Portland bottling plant to serve western US and Southeast Asian markets.
  4. 1986General Western buys a controlling interest; Potter later merges with Pacific Western to form International Potter Distilling.
  5. 1986Langley distilling is suspended after the merger, leaving profits to come mainly from brewing and other lines.
  6. 1989Potter sells the Langley distillery and moves remaining staff and distilled-spirit operations to Kelowna.
  7. 2006Highwood removes the last 10,000 barrels of ageing whisky from the former Potter/Calona stocks, closing the final chapter of the site's whisky legacy.
