Great Northern whiskey distillery
The Great Northern Distillery occupies the former Great Northern (Harp Lager) Brewery in Dundalk, County Louth, which Diageo closed in 2013. John Teeling, who had earlier sold Cooley Distillery to Beam Suntory, acquired the site and began distilling on 31 July 2015, the first working distillery in the town in nearly a century.
It produces grain and malt whiskey at scale, supplying bulk and private label whiskey to other producers and bottlers.
