Isle of Harris whisky distillery
The Isle of Harris Distillery stands in Tarbert, the main town of the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Conceived as a ‘social distillery’ to support the island’s population, it was founded by Anderson Bakewell and ran its first spirit just before Christmas 2015, the first distillery on the island.
Its single malt, The Hearach, was first released in September 2023. The distillery also produces Isle of Harris Gin.
